動詞一換，英文就不一樣了！

開會時，你想告訴主管，專案出了問題。

There are some problems with the project.
文法沒錯，但主管聽完，仍然不知道發生了什麼事。如果換個動詞呢？

- The project is falling behind schedule.（專案進度落後了。）
- The project has hit a bottleneck.（專案遇到了瓶頸。）
- The project is running out of resources.（專案的資源快用完了。）
這些動詞你可能都認識，但真正開口時，卻只想得到 There are some problems。

1. 別讓 be 動詞，吃掉你想表達的訊息
介紹自己的工作時，我們很習慣說：
I'm responsible for our overseas markets.（我負責海外市場。）
但你究竟負責什麼？是開發市場、管理客戶，還是協調跨國團隊？
I develop new markets in Southeast Asia.（我開發東南亞新市場。）
I manage relationships with our key accounts.（我負責重要客戶關係。）
I coordinate sales activities across five countries.（我協調五個國家的業務活動。）
develop、manage、coordinate，三個動詞，讓別人對你的工作有了完全不同的理解。

2. 把重要的動作，從名詞裡找出來
我們很習慣用 give、make、do 這些萬用動詞，卻經常把真正重要的訊息藏在名詞裡。
We need to make some adjustments to our strategy.
→ We need to adjust our strategy.（我們需要調整策略。）
We need to have a discussion about the budget.
→ We need to review the budget.（我們需要重新檢視預算。）
如果真正需要的是重新分配預算，還可以更精準：
We need to reallocate the budget.（我們需要重新分配預算。）
動詞越準確，對方越容易知道下一步該做什麼。

3. 一個動詞，可能改變整場對話
你正在向客戶介紹提案，對方突然說：
I don't think this will work.（我覺得這個方案行不通。）
你會怎麼回應？急著解釋，還是先釐清問題？
Clarify｜釐清疑慮
Could you clarify which part concerns you?（能否請你說明，哪個部分讓你有疑慮？）
Probe｜深入探詢
What would make this proposal more workable for your team?（怎麼調整，才能讓這個方案更符合你們團隊的需求？）
Align｜取得共識
Let's align on our priorities before discussing the next steps.（我們先確認雙方的優先事項，再討論下一步。）
同樣面對客戶的反對，不同的動詞，讓對話走向不同的方向。

1. I learned a lot of experience from this project.（我從這個專案累積了很多經驗。）
2. My manager shared me some useful feedback.（主管給了我一些很有用的回饋。）
3. We need to confirm the client's real needs before making a proposal.（提出方案之前，我們需要了解客戶真正的需求。）
4. Our team will discuss how to improve the efficiency of this process.（我們團隊將討論如何改善這個流程的效率。）
5. 5. I hope we can have more cooperation in the future.（希望未來我們有更多合作機會。）
