英文中有很多字意思是相似的，但用法卻不一樣。仔細閱讀以下句子，找出用字錯誤的語病。

1. There are twenty classmates in my class. 我班上有20個同學。

2. The lawyer has many rich customers. 那個律師有很多有錢的客戶。

3. Landy asked me to borrow him some money. 藍迪向我借點錢。

4. I haven’t quit my job from yet. 我還沒有提出辭呈。

5. The living costs in Hualien are very cheap. 在花蓮的生活花費很低。

Debug Answer

1. There are twenty students in my class.

班級的組成是學生，而不是同學。若要用 classmates 應該說:

I have nineteen classmates. 我有 19個同學。

2. The lawyer has many rich clients.

專業人士的客戶用 client, 購買商品或至店面消費的顧客或客戶才稱為 customer.

3. Landy asked me to lend him some money.

Borrow和lend都是借，borrow是向人借，lend是借給人。Landy請我借錢給他，我是借出，用lend。

4. I haven’t handed in my resignation (notice) yet. 我還沒有向老闆提出辭呈。

quit是離職，提辭呈用hand in resignation，或give notice。Notice就是「離職通知」。

5. The living costs in Hualien are very low.

東西是貴或便宜，價格則是高低，用low。
