「值不值得」是用 Worthy 嗎？

worth、worthy、worthwhile 這三個字長得很像，中文意思也都跟「價值、值得」有關，但它們的用法跟句型卻不太一樣。今天幫大家整理 4 個例句，一起來看看這三個字的不同之處。

   Worth 的意思是「值...錢的」，是用來說明物品價格，後面可以直接加數字的。Worth經常用來講物品的價值，例如：This necklace is worth 1,000 US dollars. 這條項鍊值一千美元。
   
   
2. The place is quite worthy of a visit.
   與 be worth 後直接跟名詞不一樣，be worthy 後不能直接加名詞，要先接介詞of。Worth比較常指物品，worthy常指人的價值：He is worthy of respect.他很值得尊敬。
   
   
3. Forget him, my dear. He is just not worth it.
   Be worth it是一個慣用語，指值得的、物有所值，可以用來指人或事。例如：Don't tire yourself out. It's really not worth it. 格裡，別把自己累壞了，那真的不值得。
   
   
4. Exercising regularly is worthwhile.
   Worthwhile是形容「某件事是值得花費(時間、精力、金錢)去做的」，這裡如果要用worth，後面要加一個名詞，可以說：Exercising regularly is worth your time. 花時間做運動很值得。
