很多人在收到email習慣回覆"Well received with thanks"。
以為這樣是「我收到了,謝謝」。加了一個well在receive之前,好像是表達感激並告訴對方,這信我已讀過了。這句話在外國人看來並不是「已讀」。
先來看看字典上的解釋
His speech was well received.
(X)他的演講被讀過了。
(O)他的演講很受歡迎。
不要誤會,以為well received是好好地收到。 Collins 字典給「well-received」是"Having been greeted or reviewed with approval"
多用於演講或作品收到很好反應時的回應,指的是「被認同,或者被檢視過之後得到認可」。所以當我們用「well-received」就會變得「你認同對方觀點」,而不是「我已收到」。整理一下:
(X)Your email was well received.
(X)Well-received with thanks.

較正式
(O)This is to confirm that I have received your email. (確認已收到您的郵件。)

(O)We have already received your reply and will get back to you shortly.(我們已收到你的回覆,並很快會回覆你。)
可不可以用well noted?
和well received很像的一個詞是well noted。那收到別人的Email裡可不可以用well noted回呢?牛津字典上well noted的解釋是:Particularly or carefully noticed or observed.
意思是特別且仔細地注意到、觀察到。收到email,熟一點的可以用
Noted. (收到了/知道了)
Well noted. (來信收悉)
Note還有一個用法也經常用在email,就是”as noted",意思是"如前所述"
例如:
As noted in my earlier email….(就像我之前email提到的…..)
As noted above….(一如我前面所說)
